Role: Lead Producer
Snapchat was trying to capture the essence of a snap through images we sourced and edited. Through this exercise, we discovered what currently makes a Snap, while trying to get the “damn, that’s Snapchat?” reaction. But, (in a good way), it’s hard to source and edit the images that are visually appealing and perfectly communicate what we need it to. So, we decided to stand up a shoot and capture these Snaps ourselves.
We needed to capture Images that involuntarily make you smile. Are organic, unexpected, has context, and tells a story. Images that break the visual tropes of AR and how its normally displayed. Our team worked with LA photographer RJ Shaughnessy to capture photos with 25 different real friend talent across two different locations. These assets would ultimately help define the brands look and feel and be used across a myriad of different projects and use cases.
